Nestled in the heart of Los Angeles, the interior design of a Whitely Heights townhome is a captivating blend of timeless elegance and contemporary allure. Upon entering, one is immediately struck by the soaring high ceilings that create an atmosphere of spaciousness and grandeur. The abundance of natural light pouring in through large windows adds a warm and inviting touch to the living spaces. The carefully curated interior features a harmonious mix of vintage furniture and modern classics, creating a seamless fusion of the past and the present. Mid-century modern pieces effortlessly coexist with contemporary design elements, giving the townhome a unique and sophisticated character. Rich textures, subdued color palettes, and thoughtful lighting further enhance the overall ambiance, creating a residence that exudes both comfort and style. This Whitely Heights townhome stands as a testament to the artful balance between tradition and innovation, making it a haven of refined living in the vibrant city of Los Angeles.

Headquartered in South Lake Union, the innovative and growing start-up adds character to the heart of Seattle’s thriving tech and life sciences scene. The Headquarters contains seven floors of flexible laboratory and office space to match the company’s bold vision to unlock the potential of AI & RNA to end genetic diseases.

The State of California is taking some of the boldest steps in the U.S. toward decarbonizing buildings across the state and they are using their own projects as proof points. The Richards Boulevard Office Project (RBOC), a new home for 5,000+ employees in the state capital is the first major step toward realizing the City of Sacramento’s vision for the River District. RBOC will be the largest all-electric, zero carbon building complex in the U.S. when complete, providing a case study for how a campus of this scale and complexity can be decarbonized by a holistic approach to minimizing its carbon footprint.

Uniting various agencies and business units within the California Department of General Services, RBOC is the first development in the revitalized River District – an area of Sacramento actively transforming from its industrial past into a modern, vibrant neighborhood adjacent to the downtown core. The campus features four mid-rise office buildings, a rich amenities program curated to occupants’ needs, a lush landscaping program, a new parking structure, and ample opportunities for micro-mobility and public transit. Together, these elements enhance and support connections between occupants, buildings, and the evolving urban fabric of Sacramento’s River District.

Situated among the city's dynamic skyline, this architectural marvel seamlessly integrates sleek design with the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. The exterior sets a tone for the transparent, light-filled interior. Inside, the double height space showcases a rich pallet of natural materials and textures. Inspired by Seattle's lush landscape, the lobby incorporates local flora and fauna along the terraced staircase. A surprising space on the second level, know as the jewel box, is a glass enclosed greenhouse with a cosy fireplace and intimate lounges.

Located in Manhattan’s eclectic West Chelsea neighborhood, this space houses a design studio and showroom for Under Armour. This location was their first showroom outside of their Maryland-based headquarters, providing a New York presence while honoring the company’s Baltimore roots.

This gathering place—called “The Commons”—creates a central hub for workplace community. This large atrium space is located at the heart of Google’s New York campus, and connects three floors with spaces geared towards socializing and productivity.

Wexford Science + Technology / University of California, Davis, Aggie Square

Research and discovery lourish in vibrant, interconnected communities filled with a diversity of scientific minds. In the spirit of driving innovation in California’s capital, ZGF and Wexford Science + Technology partnered with University of California, Davis to transform their medical campus in Sacramento into a hub where higher education, industry, and government can come together to ideate, collaborate, and create for the betterment of the community.

Aggie Square will connect UC Davis’s schools of Education, Agriculture, and Medicine with local entrepreneurs and the city to create a synergistic knowledge ecosystem rooted in an innovative approach to education and research. Poised to stimulate economic development in Sacramento, Aggie Square will allow scientists to take world-class research from the laboratory to the marketplace more efficiently, and it will create meaningful access to thousands of long-term jobs and affordable housing.

Designed as a hub for a large technology company’s new Seattle location, this cafe reflects the character and history of it’s location in South Lake Union.

This building lobby renovation communicates Google’s brand through an architectural experience. The perforated panels stretching the length of the lobby are an interpretation of a Braille transcription representing “10 Things Google Knows To Be True”.

Carnegie Mellon University’s new Richard King Mellon Hall of Sciences is a 338,900 square-foot building that will host researchers and students from its Mellon College of Science (MCS) and School of Computer Science (SCS). The building will also house the new Institute for Contemporary Art Pittsburgh (ICA), which serves as a critical hub for art, culture and exchange.

Designed to foster collaboration, the building will help CMU to advance a new era of data-driven research, creative expression and cross-disciplinary education. Anchoring a prominent city intersection, the Hall of Sciences will be positioned as a gateway, connecting the university and its surrounding community.

As one of the world’s largest venture capital firms, New Enterprise Associates (NEA) needed its first New York-based office to cater to a largely transient and diverse group, while still providing a comfortable home base. The resulting design is equally welcoming to employees, guests and leaders from NEA-funded start-ups, and encourages collaboration, boundary-pushing initiatives and the development of new ideas.

Located in the Union Square neighborhood of New York City, Adobe’s office reflects the company's commitment to creativity and collaboration.

The workspace features a open layout designed to maximize flexibility and celebrate innovation. Adobe's commitment to sustainability is evident in the use of eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient design elements. Collaborative zones are designed to promote idea exchange and design thinking, while private nooks offer employees a quiet retreat for focused work. The space also highlights Adobe's connection to the world of digital art and design - including a dynamic sculpture designed in collaboration with SOFTlab.

Twitter’s brand identity played a major role in the design of the technology company’s New York location. The century old building includes gallery-like spaces featuring an extensive art collection of local artists.

The solar-powered 'Light Fall' illuminates the interior stairwell of this companies east coast headquarters. Buried deep inside the building that occupies an entire city block in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood, a delicate column of light extends 15 stories, from the roof to the ground level, illuminating a dim, windowless stairwell. The shaft’s striking glow is not generated by electricity, however, but sunlight.

This simple, tucked away space in Chelsea Market brings back primary pops of color form Google’s brand. Chelsea Market’s original architecture is celebrated throughout the 3rd floor with warm exposed brick and wood floors. The typical Google neighborhoods are buffered from more social spaces beyond by circulation path and mobile work walls.

Brooklyn Steel is a performance venue located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The building’s origins as a steel factory provided inspiration for the design and the venue’s name.
